Michigan Freeze Pack Receives Going PRO Talent Fund Check

Hart Company Receives Reimbursement For Training 15 Employees

Congratulations to Michigan Freeze Pack, of Hart, for recently completing its Going PRO Talent Fund training plan to train 15 employees on boiler, slicer, incident investigation and FSPA preventative controls for food training.


This was fourth time Michigan Freeze Pack has been awarded Going PRO Talent Fund training dollars. They previously were awarded about $19,500 in FY18 to train 21 people on ammonia valves and controls training, boiler training, food safety modernization, machine guards, electrical standards and more. They also received about $19,900 in FY19 to train about 20 people on ammonia boot camp, boiler level 1, financial accounting, security and fraud prevention, MIOSHA training and more. Michigan Freeze Pack also was awarded nearly $17,300 in FY21 to train 12 individuals on food safety, ammonia refrigeration operation, financial analysis, recordkeeping training and more. This year's award (FY22) was for $6,660.


Although the 2022 (FY23) Going PRO Talent Fund application has come and gone, don't worry! There will be a second application period this coming spring! Stay connect to Michigan Works! West Central's website and social media channels for the most up-to-date information.


Eligible businesses can apply for up to $2,000 per individual (existing or new-hire employees) for training on a new or expanded skill. That amount increases to up to $3,500 per individual for USDOL registered apprentices.
